How do I make an appointment?

We request you have a referral to see our doctors.

By seeing a GP first you can ensure we are the appropriate specialists for you and your condition.

It will also reduce the cost of your appointment as Medicare will pay higher rebates for specialist services if you have been referred. If you are unable to obtain one, please call our office directly.

Your First Appointment

We understand that visiting a specialist for the first time can be a nerve-wracking experience. We are very used to dealing with intimate or embarrassing issues. Rest assured, at your initial consultation with Dr Love or Dr Blecher, we will discuss your sensitive issue in a friendly and confidential manner.

Initial Consultation

During the initial consultation, we will likely ask you questions about your urinary and sexual health, any medications you may be taking and if you have a family history of urological conditions. We may also perform a physical examination, which may include feeling your abdomen, groin and genital areas.

Your Treatment Plan

Based on the information gathered, we will work with you to determine a diagnosis and develop an individualised treatment plan. It's important to know that most urological conditions can be successfully treated, so there's no need to feel ashamed. Our goal is to help you feel comfortable and confident throughout the process and to provide you with the best possible care.

What should I bring to my appointment?

A copy of your referral letter, even if it has been sent through by your GP.
Relevant pathology reports - know which laboratory you had your tests and ideally, bring the results
Relevant radiology - know which radiology service you attended and ideally, bring the reports
Your partner, friend or support person should you wish
